Eisenhower High School junior Avery Gardner earned an individual qualifying spot in the OSSAA 5A Girls Golf State Tournament on May 3-4 at the Dornick Hills Golf and CC and represented the Eagles well.
Gardner earned a top-50 finish after shooting a score of 109 in the first round and then following that up with a 104 in the second to give her a total tournament score of 213, just ahead of MacArthur High school’s Kaysie Rogers.
Carl Albert won the 5A State Championship with a team score of 654 while Duncan’s JJ Gregston was the top medalist with an individual score of 140.
